Home Weatherization Assistance Program
The Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) serves low- or fixed-income families. HWAP is designed to help lower heating bills by correcting energy deficiencies. Studies show when weatherization is combined with educating clients on home energy efficiency, residents can save up to 25% on their home heating bills. HWAP provides weatherization of homes, safety inspections, and tune-ups of heating units.

Summit County Fresh Stops(City Fresh Summit Fresh) is a farm-to-city program that puts fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs right into city areas that need it. The goal of City Fresh is to build a more just and sustainable local food system in Northeast Ohio. Did you know that more than 60% of what is thrown
away could be recycled?
The majority of trash may be considered to be a “resource” that
can be used and not wasted or buried in a landfill. Recycling allows
our resources (trash) to be used to their full potential.
Summit/Akron Solid Waste Management Authority (SASWMA)’s mission is to provide Summit County residents and
businesses the opportunity to participate in recycling and waste

FOOD SAFETY BASICS
ODH Level I Certification for Food Protection
Monday, SEPTEMBER 13th at 2pm-4pm
Monday, NOVEMBER 8th at 10am-12pm
FREE, informative presentation on food safety. As of March 1, 2010, OAC 3701-21-25 (I) requires that all new food service operations have at least one person per shift that is Level 1 certified or higher.
